Bail granted for NYPD officer accused of raping a Teacher

NEW YORK City off-duty Police Officer accused of raping a teacher was granted bail of $500,000 cash or $1 million bond after appearing in court Saturday.

Officer by name, Michael Pena was detained in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges of first-degree rape, criminal sexual assault and predatory sexual act.

His aunt, Ramona Pena, told WNBC-TV, that the family was terribly shocked by the allegations. She also added that, "He's a gorgeous person, with a lot of moral value,"

Authorities stated that Pena had grabbed the 25-year-old teacher off a residential street in upper Manhattan, showing her a gun, and walked with her several blocks through an alley to a deserted backyard, where he raped her brutally.

What a pity for such an officer with a soft nature and good values...if at all he could control his desire of the flesh...!
